Rare Items Guide

Only millionaires have these man! YOU would love to have them as much as me.

Easter

2002:

Easter Eggs

Dropped on Easter 2002. These, like Pumpkins, can be eaten and also heal fourteen Hit Points. They are also slowly being wiped out. These are the only tradable Easter Item, yet for some reason they are still the cheapest of all the Rare Items.

2003:

Bunny Ears

These were the first Non-Tradable Rare Item, Dropped on Easter 2003. These were Non-Tradable because too many people were getting the Drops on the day, and selling them for ridiculous Prices soon afterwards. If you loose your Bunny Ears, you can go to the Clothes Shop in Varrock and get them back.

2004:

No holiday Items were dropped during 2004.

2005:

Rubber Chickens

This Chicken is the Reward of the 2005 Easter event. You can wield it and smack other Players with it, doing so does no damage. Under the Dueling Arena rules it is considered a fun Weapon, as such it also has terrible stats. You can also use the Chicken to do the Chicken Dance, this effect was also given by eating the Chocolate Eggs. If you lose it you can get another one by Talking to Diango in Draynor Village .

Basket of Eggs

This Basket was given by the Easter Bunny in 2005, Your job was to equip it and hand out Eggs to other Players. If you handed out enough eggs you received the Rubber Chicken. All Baskets were removed after April 4th.

Chocolate Eggs

These Eggs came out of the Basket, when you ate them your Character would perform the Chicken Dance. They came in 7 different kinds. However, two of the Eggs looked the same, it is said this is a bug Jagex never decided to fix. All Eggs melted away after April 4th.

Halloween

2003:

Scythes

This handy Weapon was dropped on Halloween 2003. These are by far the most useful Holiday Item, as it is the only Weapon that can be taken on the Lost City Quest. These add +3 to Stab, +8 to Slash, +3 to Crush and +10 to Strength. It is not a powerful Weapon, but its ability to be taken on the Quest is priceless. This Item is not tradable. If you loose your Scythe, you can get it back by going to the Clothes Shop in Varrock.

2004:

No holiday Items were dropped in 2004.

2005:

Zombie Head

This Item required you to do a small Mini-Quest to obtain it. You had to insult the special Zombies in the Lumbridge Swamp and then catch the Head as it fell off. You cannot wear the Item but you can talk to it and ask questions. It is re-obtained by digging with a Spade in the Lumbridge Swamp . Besides the Zombie Head Players could also learn the 'Scared' emotion from the Zombies. Zombies were removed once the event was over, those who obtained the emotion and Zombie Head got to keep it.

Sweets

These Sweets were obtained by scaring the Children in Lumbridge with your Zombie Head. When they fled Sweets would be dropped on the Ground and when you ate these Sweets Steam would
blow out of your Ears for a few seconds. All of the Sweets were removed once the event was over.

Christmas

2001:

Christmas Crackers

The givers of Party Hats, these were dropped on Christmas 2001 by the Jagex Staff in random places throughout Runescape. When 'used' with another Player one of you would get a random Item from a Chocolate Bar to a Rune-Two-Hander, and the other would get a random Colored Party Hat. These are by far the rarest Item in Runescape, and the inevitable extinction of them draws
ever closer.

Party Hats

These are by far the most famed rare Item in all of Runescape, these came from Christmas Crackers. They came in six different colors, not seven as there is not a Black Party Hat.

2002:

Santa Hats

Dropped on Christmas 2002 in Runescape Classic these added three Points to your Magic. However, they no longer do so in Runescape 2 . These were the last tradable Holiday Drop.
